Mission Smile launches Comprehensive Cleft Lip and Palate Care Centre

Fortis Medical Research Institute (FMRI), in collaboration with Fortis Foundation and Mission Smile have joined hands to launch a Comprehensive Clinic for Cleft Lip, Palate and other facial deformities for children born with congenital deformity. The comprehensive cleft care services include services of Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Pediatricians, Speech Therapists, ENT Specialists, Child life psychologists, and Dental/orthodontists.Under the joint initiative, free surgeries to children from less privileged sections will be provided to help overcome their condition and help them live a normal childhood. Medical Mission in Puducherry

Puducherry formerly known as Pondicherry, is a union territory of India. It lies in the southern part of the Indian Peninsula. New Medical Centre, a Hospital in Puducherry was our site for the 50 surgery Medical Mission which has started from 20th Feb, 2017 and will continue till 27th Feb, 2017. This mission is in partnership with Muthoot Pappachan Foundation. 96 cleft patients were screened and we are hopeful to provide smiles to over 50 of them. Karnataka Mission- 90 Smiles Delivered

It is with great honour we announce the results of the Mission at Karnataka, India that took place from January 23 – 27, 2017. This was our 1st Mission in partnership with Muthoot Pappachan Foundation at ESIC Medical College & Hospital and overall the 3rd Mission in Karnataka. This is the poignant story of Dev Deka, a cleft lip and palate child born to Pinky Deka of Nalbari district of Assam, on  2nd October, 2012.
