Our mission in Kolkata (26-30 August 2017) has turned out to be a grand success. Eventually, the mission took place at the Kolkata Comprehensive Cleft Care Centre (KC4), in partnership with Muthoot Pappachan Foundation,
Mr Javed Khan inaugurated the Kolkata mission. He is the Hon’ble Minister for Disaster Management, Govt. of West Bengal. Other dignitaries present were Dr Prasanthkumar Nellickal-Head CSR, Muthoot Pappachan Foundation, Col. Shivaji Samaddar (Retd.) – COO Mission Smile and Mr Deepak Atal – Trustee, Mission Smile.
In fact, with the team’s sincere cooperation a total of 96 patients were screened, out of which 55 were provided surgeries. The team included plastic surgeons- Dr Manish Mukul Ghosh and Dr Anjana Malhotra, and anesthesiologists- Dr Gautam Sarkar and Dr Indranil Ghosh,
We heartily acknowledge our team of volunteers’ efforts. Their participation has helped our mission successful. Also, a special note of thanks to Isha Mahajan and her parents. They flew in from outside India. Indeed they devoted their valuable time at the Kolkata Mission helping our cause.
